About the role As the Tendering Estimator, you will be responsible for the development of tenders and the associated planning to support the quotation stage of Ground mounted, car port canopy and rooftop solar projects Key responsibilities • Prepare cost budgets, cost estimates for new contracts. • Ensure consistency across all projects estimating and pricing, including making amendments, providing new cost estimates, and maintaining communication with the Client. • Adhere to company standards and guidelines when analysing and providing estimations; focus on maximising profit and customer satisfaction, while minimising any potential risks to the company. • Prepare detailed, well-written proposals for each Client, adhering to Client guidelines while offering competitive and comprehensive cost estimates, and including supplementary documentation. • Maintain relationships with existing Clients keeping a sales-minded attitude and seek out and build relationships with new Clients. • Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing suppliers – ensuring maximum value for both CS and our clients. • Stay abreast of industry developments and legislative changes which impact our Major Projects pricing strategy and processes. Candidate Specification Education & Certification Essential: Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equival) Understanding of DNO design requirements Experience with HV electrical tenders/designs (11kV, 33kV, 132kV) Knowledge of BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Desirable: HNC/HND or relevant City & Guilds certification Skills & Competencies Focused and self-motivated, able to work independently and within a team Ability to interpret complex requirements and assess risks Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to perform under pressure Understanding of commercial terms and their impact on project delivery Ability to engage effectively with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
