Role Summary We’re looking for a Game Concept Designer to sit between our game design, graphics and new projects workstreams — someone who can take an idea from “spark” to “sellable”. You’ll originate and develop game concepts, translate them into clear and compelling visuals, and package them into pitch-ready decks and documents for the commercial team to take to partners and stakeholders. Most of your focus will be on new game ideas and gamified performance products (≈80%), with broadcast-driven opportunities (≈20%). You’ll report into the Commercial Director and work closely with the Senior Game Designer, partnering with Production and the wider team to move concepts from early stage through validation and into delivery. What you’ll do Generate and develop new game concepts and gamified product ideas aligned to our sports performance and consumer roadmaps. Build pitch materials ranging from 2–3 page one-pagers to full presentation decks and game design documents (GDDs). Create and iterate visual concepts that communicate the look, feel and UX of the experience (mock screens, UI flows, key art direction, simple diagrams). Produce polished visuals when needed for external-facing decks, while also being able to move fast with rougher internal explorations. Define core gameplay loops, progression, economy hooks (where relevant), and high-level feature sets in a way that’s easy for mixed audiences to understand. Work with the Senior Game Designer to ensure ideas are mechanically sound, achievable, and align with player value commercial value. Collaborate with Production to support concept-to-kickoff handover: scope assumptions, dependencies, risks, and next-step validation. Maintain tidy, reusable documentation in our tools (templates, versioning, structured decks/docs). What we’re looking for (essential) Junior to mid-level experience in game concept/design, product concepting, or an adjacent role where you’ve produced pitch decks supporting visuals. A strong portfolio that shows: Concept development (how you think and iterate), and Presentation craft (clear decks, compelling narrative, good taste). At least 1 shipped title in which you contributed to game design. Strong visual communication skills (layout, hierarchy, readability, storytelling). Ability to take ambiguous requirements and turn them into a structured, persuasive proposal. Comfortable collaborating across disciplines and taking feedback without losing momentum. Tools (we use) Figma Adobe CC (Photoshop / Illustrator) PowerPoint or Keynote (pitch decks and partner-ready presentations) Nice to have Any hands-on prototyping experience (Unity/Unreal) — not required, but a bonus. Familiarity with VR and/or sports performance products. Understanding of F2P thinking (progression, rewards, engagement), where appropriate.
