TeacherActive is proud to be working with a lovely Secondary provision in Cannock supporting with their recruitment for an Science Teacher. The setting is centred on pupil’s development, as well as an intrinsic desire to make progress both academically and with their own emotional, social and behavioural skills.
The Schools is looking for passionate team player to take on this longterm role. The successful Teacher will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children’s individual needs and have a positive impact on the wider school.
The position will involve working with students across all Key Stage 3 with diagnosis of Autism / ASD, SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, PMLD / Profound multiple learning difficulties and challenging behaviours. A proactive thinker with the ability to take control of situations confidently is necessary.
The successful SEND Teacher will have:
Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities
Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours
Qualified Teacher Satus or equivalent
Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable
