Perinatal Physical Health Wellbeing and Lifestyle Facilitator
Job Overview
The post holder will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to the effective provision of Perinatal Mental Health Services to an identified caseload of women. The core purpose of the team is to deliver high-quality, tailored interventions to maximize health and wellbeing during the perinatal period, working with mothers experiencing moderate to severe mental illness and their infants. The service aims to raise the profile and standards of physical and mental health care for expectant and new mothers accessing specialist services. Improving physical health and reducing health inequalities for maternal and child outcomes are key objectives of this role.
Main duties of the job
Under the supervision of the Perinatal Mental Health Practitioner, assist in identifying physical health and lifestyle needs, participate in delivering and evaluating interventions, and work with individuals experiencing moderate to severe mental health issues, including those with pre-existing conditions. Contribute to holistic community assessments in various settings, promoting physical health and wellbeing, and offer practical support and advice to families and carers in homes and community environments.

Qualifications
* Foundation diploma/degree in Healthcare Practice (Level 4) or equivalent
* Five GCSEs at grades A–C or equivalent (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care)
* Literacy and numeracy at Key Skills Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE A–C in English and Maths)
Experience
* Previous Healthcare Support Worker experience at Band 3
* Ability to work independently in various settings

* Good organizational skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Self-awareness of strengths and development needs
* Teamwork and flexibility
Desirable skills
* Experience with clinical skills such as medication administration, manual handling, bladder scanning, catheterisation, tissue viability, wound care, and health promotion.
