Job Title: Waste Operative
Location: Cliniwaste, Unit 2 Bow Beck, Bradford West Yorkshire BD4 8SL
Contract Type: Permanent • Type of Employment: Full Time • Total Weekly Contractual Hours: 48
Hourly Rate of Pay: £12.60
Employer: Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services (Mitie is a leading facilities management and professional services company). Since 1987, Mitie has been trusted in healthcare waste management and other sectors.
Responsibilities
* Ensure smooth site operations while adhering to company policies and legislative requirements.
* Carry out health and safety checks and accurately book in waste on the weigh bridge through the Trace System.
* Manage essential paperwork and liaise with the wider Cliniwaste/Mitie team.
* Provide hands-on support by helping drivers unload and reload vehicles.
* Perform bin maintenance and maintain a clean, orderly work environment through general housekeeping tasks.
* Palletise waste, wash bins, and operate various company machinery as required.
* Assist with day-to-day duties to support a compliant and efficient facility operation.
Qualifications
* Excellent communication and organizational skills; self-motivated with the ability to multitask and solve problems independently.
* Experience or knowledge of the clinical waste industry is desirable but not essential.
* Competence with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), legible handwriting, and a basic understanding of English.
