Job Description Great Bear has a new opportunity for for an experienced Driver Trainer to join our team at our Sheffield site.
As the Driver Trainer you will be responsible for delivering driver related training, evaluate and monitor the impact of training on Great Bear Drivers.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00
Key Duties of a Driver Trainer
Deliver training relating to drivers hours / tachographs / WTD rules and regulations to new and existing drivers.
Maintain up to date training records and be proactivein identifying training needs.
Update Great Bear Distribution Drivers Manual as and when required.
Deliver manual handling and refresher training.
Deliver training regarding SAFED/ Fuel Economy and Defensive Driving.
Monitor the standard of Great Beardriving and provide information, advice and guidance to departments such as H&S, Transport and HR.
Liaise with other personnel such as Transport Manager, Transport Planners and operations desk staff coordinators as necessary in order to maximise benefits for all training provided.
Report on (both verbal and written) the ability and performance of drivers following all driver training courses undertaken, using counselling and coaching techniques as required.
Use Microlise performance statistics to proactively manage the drivers performance.
Support the induction process.
Ensure the transport department is fully compliant with all training requirements
Qualifications HGV Driving License full, clean C+E.
Able to work without direct supervision.
Adaptable approach to work/ training.
Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information to trainees.
Effectively prioritisework load in order to meet set deadlines.
A good standard of computer literacy, particularly MS Office applications.
Qualified to Advanced driving level would be desirable.
