Secondary Teaching Assistant - Shirehampton, Bristol

We are currently recruiting for proactive, empathetic and passionate Teaching Assistants to work in a mainstream secondary school in Shirehampton - Bristol (BS11)
* Start ASAP, ongoing to July 2025
* £90 - £125 per day, depending on experience
* Monday - Friday 8.30am to 4pm
* Term time only
* Bristol - BS11
About the Secondary Teaching Assistant role
* Provide extra support to students with special educational needs and those for whom English is an additional language.
* Working under the direction of teaching staff to deliver and adapt learning activities for pupils one to one or in small groups
* Supervise pupils during break periods
* Build positive relationships with students to promote their academic success and emotional well-being
* Encourage students to develop self-confidence, resilience, and independence
The right candidate
* Maths and English GCSE (Grade A*-C / 9-4) or equivalent
* Extensive prior experience within an education establishment as a learning support assistant, teaching assistant, unqualified teacher etc
* Possess good behaviour management skills and remain calm under pressure.
* Be confident with ICT skills, particularly Microsoft packages
