A rapidly expanding Stoke on Trent based bookkeeping company is looking for an experienced hands-on Senior Bookkeeper to manage a growing portfolio of client accounts. As the Senior Bookkeeper your key responsibilities will be:
* Manage a portfolio of bookkeeping clients.
* Daily/weekly/monthly bookkeeping in Xero.
* Bank reconciliations, journals, prepayments/accruals, CIS, VAT returns
* Support team members as required.
* Liaise with customers and suppliers.
* Ensure all work is completed accurately and on time.
* Contribute towards improving service delivery.
The Senior Bookkeeper will have the following skills and attributes:
* Minimum AAT Level 3 or ICB Level 3 (or equivalent).
* Experience working in a bookkeeping or accountancy practice and mentoring junior staff is highly desirable.
* Strong practical experience with Xero is essential.
* Organised with a meticulous attention to detail and confident handling end-to-end bookkeeping
* Excellent communicator with the ability to build rapport quickly and maintain customer relationships.
* Payroll experience using BrightPay, Dext, Apron or similar tools would be a distinct advantage.
You will work flexibly from the office in Stoke on Trent and home, Monday to Friday, and will receive an attractive pay and benefits package up to £36,000 per year with excellent opportunities for career development and progression.
