Lead Play Worker
We are seeking an experienced, diligent playworker with a focus on safeguarding and a keen eye for detail.
Job summary:
1. Plan, lead and assist with daily activities
2. Provide quality play care while focusing on safeguarding all children
3. Complete basic admin tasks while at the club – clocking in, registers, logging accidents, ordering new supplies.
Working relationships:
4. Children attending the club and their parents/carers
5. Management and Staff, including Students and Volunteers,
6. Schools and Registering Authorities
Main duties include:
7. Planning, preparing, delivering and supervising quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
8. Register and dismiss children using online software on mobile device – Phone/tablet/laptop
9. Providing comprehensive care for the children including collecting them from school clubs and delivering them safely to parents or carers.
10. Setting up and clearing up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment.
11. Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met.
12. Administering first aid when necessary.
13. Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities.
14. Helping with club administration, where necessary.
15. Facilitating good communication with all members of the organisation, parents, and schools.
16. Undertaking regular, appropriate and relevant training.
17. Keeping the work environment healthy, happy safe and secure.
18. Working within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures.
Hours:
Initially 3.00pm - 6.00pm Monday - Wednesday with additional hours as follows:
Monday - Friday 7.15am - 8.30am
Thursday 3.00pm - 6.00pm
Friday 2.00pm - 5.00pm
The role will grow with the business and can be flexible with the ideal candidates wants/needs.
