St Andrew’s College, the South Island’s only independent co-educational school offering education from pre-school to Year 13, has a long and proud tradition of academic excellence underpinned by a rich and diverse curriculum.
The college is committed to the ongoing professional growth of its staff and provides strong support, generous benefits, and a collaborative working environment.
Following a significant external promotion, the college seeks an experienced and highly capable educator to take on the role of head of senior school.
The senior school at St Andrew’s has a distinctive identity, with a clear focus on preparing students for success beyond school – academically, socially, and personally.
Reporting to the secondary school principal, the head of senior school will lead and support the senior dean, Year 12 and 13 deans and tutors, the senior learning support and careers teams and play a key role in shaping the student experience across these year levels.
Key responsibilities include:
* Oversight of student academic progress, tracking, and mentoring
* Leadership of wellbeing and pastoral care systems
* Management of student conduct and engagement
* Oversight of administration associated with the senior school
This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated and forward-thinking educational leader who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people, and who is eager to contribute to a dynamic and progressive leadership team.
