Junior Geotechnical Engineer

Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Junior Geotechnical Engineer to join a growing technical engineering team working across quarrying, earthworks, remediation and major land development projects.
Role
As a Junior Geotechnical Engineer, you will support the planning, design and delivery of geotechnical and earthworks projects across multiple sites.
* Assisting with earthworks and geotechnical design activities
* Producing technical calculations and engineering reports
* Supporting quarry restoration and development projects
* Carrying out site inspections and monitoring works
* Sampling and testing ground materials
* Supporting Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) activities
* Reviewing engineering data and site information
* Working with internal teams to ensure projects meet technical and regulatory requirements
About You
* A degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, Earth Sciences or a related discipline
* Approximately 1-3 years’ experience within geotechnical, ground engineering, site investigation or civil engineering environments
* Strong attention to detail
* Good technical and analytical skills
* Excellent communication skills
* A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning
* Experience within earthworks, site investigations, ground modelling, quality assurance or engineering design would be advantageous but is not essential
