Your new role - exciting and future-oriented: Display a high level of proficiency in the application of fundamental principles of Mechanical Engineering, including a comprehensive understanding of thermodynamics, aerodynamics, fluid dynamics, and material properties. Thermodynamic performance calculations towards design and assessment of steam turbine cycle and its associated components. Review of steam turbine blade drawings, assembly drawings, layouts, manufacturing sketches, inspection data and bill of material as per design guidelines. Support to customers and field service engineering during planned or forced outages, conducting root cause investigations, and performing lifetime extension studies. The job involves driving steam turbine service and repair solutions, operational troubleshooting, managing reviews, consulting with functional experts, and incorporating feedback from the global engineering network. The job may require the ability to travel to customer sites as needed. We don’t need superheroes, just super minds: Bachelor’s/ Master's degree in engineering or related technical field from a reputed institute. Thermodynamic, aerodynamic, and mechanical calculations towards design and assessment of steam turbine blades- this will be the key assessment point. 5 to 8 years of engineering experience, preferably in Steam Turbine or Gas Turbine design. Ability to work independently with minimal guidance. Ability to interface directly with customer, field, factory personnel and management. Effective communication skills (verbal, written and listening), a strong sense of teamwork and customer focus. Ability to make quick, informed decisions on a regular basis. Ability to manage multiple field issues / projects and meet deadlines. Familiarity with repair methods for major steam turbine components, programming skills (Python etc.), experience with SAP and Teamcenter is considered an added advantage.
