Job Description:
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building a new platform from the ground up. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and be a key driver in the evolution of our gaming infrastructure. This position reports directly to the VP of Engineering and offers a unique chance to make a significant impact within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Platform Development: Lead the development of a new gaming platform, starting from scratch, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our infrastructure.
2. Kubernetes Expertise: Manage Kubernetes on-premises and assist in migrating to the cloud (AWS), ensuring the scalability and reliability of our platform.
3. Developer Experience (DX): Improve the Developer Experience by optimizing tools and processes to enhance productivity and efficiency for our development teams.
4. DevOps Transformation: Collaborate with development teams to promote a DevOps culture, advocating for modern ways of working, and introducing improved tools and practices.
5. Cross-Team Communication: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between various teams, including developers, operations, and QA, to ensure seamless platform development and deployment.
Qualifications:
6. Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
7. Strong expertise in Kubernetes and cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
8. Demonstrated ability to improve Developer Experience through tooling and process enhancements.
9. Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and persuade reluctant team members toward adopting modern DevOps practices.
10. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
