Position Overview
The Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics at the University of Cambridge is seeking to appoint a Teaching Associate in Russian Studies. The post is fixed-term for 3 months, to provide temporary cover, with a start date of 1 January 2027. The Faculty commits to providing career development support and mentoring for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the teaching and examining of undergraduate courses in Russian language, literature and culture, to play an active role in the development of the undergraduate and graduate curriculum; and to contribute to the administration of the Section's activities. Experience of teaching Russian literature and culture will be considered essential; experience of teaching Russian language and twentieth-century or contemporary Russian literature and culture will be considered highly desirable.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates will need to show evidence of the following qualifications, skills and experience:
* A PhD in a relevant subject area (or clear evidence that completion of the PhD is imminent)
* Native or near-native command of both Russian and English
* Evidence of developing research activity in the subject area commensurate with stage of career
* Evidence of ability to teach effectively, especially at undergraduate level
* Ability to play an effective role in the life and work of the Slavonic Studies Section
* Ability to work as part of a team
