We're offering an internal opportunity as a Ranger to support our team at Quarry Bank until the end of February.

What it's like to work here
We've a 500 acre estate at Quarry Bank with a small team of Rangers helping to look after a mixture of habitats and support our busy visitor attraction. We're also currently working to complete activities that support our Riverlands project along the River Bollin due to be finished by March 2026.
What you'll be doing
You’ll be working alongside our Lead Ranger and two full time Rangers to support our winter works programme which includes tree inspections, planting and general estate maintenance. You'll also be helping to carry out tasks with our volunteer rangers. You may be supporting contractors with fencing improvements and chop and drop habitat creation work taking place along the River Bollin this autumn/winter as part of our Riverlands project.

Who we're looking for
We’d love to hear from you if you’re:
1. practically experienced in conservation work, to protect and improve habitats and landscapes
2. happy to talk to all kinds of people about the work you’re doing, and why it matters
3. hard-working and willing to learn
4. able to work safely, using risk assessments and following guidelines
5. experienced in managing land, access and conservation, and working outdoors
6. able to use machinery and equipment, with relevant certificates
7. a driver with a full UK driving licence
