You will be joining a respected, long-established charity operating across the West Midlands, dedicated to supporting vulnerable adults, children and survivors of abuse. The organisation delivers specialist, trauma-informed services that empower individuals to recover from exploitation, rebuild their lives and regain independence. Their Modern Slavery Support Service provides vital accommodation and community-based support to victims of modern slavery and human trafficking, working closely with partner agencies to ensure safety, stability and long-term recovery.
Your new role
As a Modern Slavery Outreach Advocate, you will provide frontline support to potential victims of modern slavery and international human trafficking, including adults and their children. You will:
1. Deliver regular emotional, practical and safeguarding support
2. Complete risk assessments, needs assessments and journey plans within set timescales
3. Support clients to access their rights and entitlements under ECAT
4. Advocate for individuals navigating the National Referral Mechanism
5. Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners, including health, mental health, substance misuse and domestic abuse services
6. Manage a caseload in a fast-paced environment, maintaining accurate case management records
