ROLE : Design Engineer
LOCATION : Warwickshire
TERM : Permanent
SALARY: GBP 35,000 : GBP 50,000 per annum, dependent on experience
My client is a manufacturer of specialist products and equipment for a variety of sectors. They're looking for a Design Engineer to join their team in Warwickshireon a permanent basis.
The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
: Minimum of 1:2 years' experience in a similar Design Engineering / CAD Operation position
: Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
: Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
: Previous experience designing for the retail industry
: Previous experience with Joiner or Metalwork or Plastics
: Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo etc.
: Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances
: Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi:disciplinary team
: Have the ability to carry out mechanical calculations
: Any previous experience of working with process machinery or steel / metal materials would be desirable
: Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
: Proficient using MS Office
: Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
The Design Engineer role will involve:
: Working within the current engineering team with other Design Engineers
: Producing 3D designs using SolidWorks CAD soft and 2D designs with AutoCAD
: Liaising with manufacturing providers
: Being involved in final assembly of products
: Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
: Updating 3D models and drawings
: Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
: Checking drawings for sign off
: Working in a small multi:disciplinary team on varied projects
