We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive primary in Newham.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
Assist with lesson delivery and adapting materials for individual learning needs
Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
Support students with personal, social, and emotional development
Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere in and out of the classroom
Requirements
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in a school or similar setting)
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow safeguarding policies and work as part of a team
