Job Description: Senior Paralegal
Location: Birmingham or Leeds
Role Overview
Vario is a market-leading alternative legal services provider within the law firm, Pinsent Masons. It is unique in the legal sector. Vario is a practice group within Pinsent Masons which includes Flexible Services, Consulting and Technology, Legal Project Management, and Managed Legal Services (MLS). This role is within our MLS team.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Paralegal with asset management experience to join our Managed Legal Services team, working alongside colleagues in our Property group.
Responsibilities:
* Draft, review, and negotiate asset management documents including leases, licenses, variations, surrenders, extensions, consents, and other property documents.
* Support lease management by tracking key dates, handling renewals and terminations, and maintaining compliance with lease terms.
* Assist with due diligence for property transactions by collecting and organizing documents to facilitate risk assessment and compliance reviews.
* Support the wider client service team in ensuring compliance across the client's asset management portfolio.
* Maintain organized matter management, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for the client team and the client.
* Provide informal support to junior paralegals, sharing knowledge and helping develop best practices in document handling and portfolio asset management.
* Act as a liaison within the client service team and the client's in-house legal, estates, and operational teams to facilitate communication and document flow.
Working Hours
Our standard working hours are 9:30 am - 5:30 pm, but we are open to flexible working requests.
Candidate Overview
We are looking for candidates who ideally possess the following skills and experience:
* Previous paralegal experience or equivalent, specializing in property asset management.
* Experience working in a large commercial law firm, understanding service delivery levels.
* Experience using legal technology solutions and platforms to deliver excellent client service.
