New Directions Education are currently recruiting Aspiring Teacher Support Assistants to work in secondary schools across Chester. This role is ideal for graduates or individuals considering a future career in teaching who are seeking hands-on classroom experience.
The Role:
• Supporting teachers during lessons and classroom activities
• Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
• Supporting students with additional learning needs
• Helping to maintain positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
• Gaining practical experience across a range of subjects and age groups
• Developing classroom management and teaching skills
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• A strong interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education
• Experience working with children or young people (desirable)
• A proactive, enthusiastic, and reflective approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
All applicants must have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check and be able to provide appropriate professional references.
