Electrical Project Engineer
Location: Selby, North Yorkshire
Salary: £50000 + benefits
We’re supporting a growing manufacturing business in the search for an Electrical Project Engineer to join their site projects team. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in delivering electrical projects across a fast-paced production environment.
Reporting into the Projects Manager, you’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle from initial concept and design through to installation, commissioning, and handover.
The Role
1. Deliver electrical engineering input across new projects and site modifications
2. Support projects from design through to completion, ensuring key milestones are met
3. Manage electrical contractors to deliver safe, on-time and on-budget solutions
4. Oversee contractor workload and associated costs
5. Produce technical specifications, bills of materials, and tender documentation
6. Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders
7. Support the development and control of project documentation and change management processes
8. Ensure all installations comply with relevant safety standards and regulations
9. Work closely with site Electrical Engineers to ensure seamless integration with MV/LV systems
What We’re Looking For
10. HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering (essential)
11. Experience within FMCG or a process manufacturing environment (highly desirable)
12. 3–5 years’ experience in a similar industrial/project engineering role
13. Proven track record of managing multiple electrical projects on site
14. Strong knowledge of regulations (ATEX/COMPEX advantageous)
15. Hands-on, practical approach with a proactive mindset
16. Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
