Our stunning care home, Grappenhall Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built 70-bed facility located in Warrington, Cheshire. We provide the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care to residents with various needs, offering residential, nursing, and dementia care. We invest in the latest technology and provide a purposeful program of daily activities and gentle exercises to enhance residents' wellbeing. All team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, undergo a comprehensive induction, and receive ongoing training from our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. We pride ourselves on having no agency staff for over 5 years, employing a permanent team to ensure continuity of care from staff residents know and trust. All staff are paid at least the national minimum wage.
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. You will support the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager in providing leadership to the care team and managing the home effectively over 24 hours within available resources. We offer a 42.88-hour contract with an excellent salary! Shift times are 19:45-08:00, with alternate weekends. Benefits include NMC fee paid, paid breaks and handovers, bank holiday and overtime enhancements, paid training, support with revalidation, and free onsite parking.
Role Responsibilities:
* Promote the highest standard of person-centred clinical nursing care to residents.
* Manage, allocate duties, and supervise the care team to ensure quality care delivery during shifts.
* Act as a role model demonstrating person-centred care.
* Take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults under your care.
* Manage the delivery of personalised resident care according to their care plans.
* Support professional standards within the home, assisting the Deputy and Home Manager.
* Provide supervision, coaching, and assessment to Senior Care Assistants and Care Assistants.
* Ensure effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care through written care plans.
* Maintain accurate records as required by the company and regulatory bodies.
* Manage daily rotas and delegate workload to ensure safe staffing levels.
* Complete new admission files within the first week, involving the named nurse, senior carer, and key worker.
* Build relationships with external professionals.
* Assist in conducting regular quality audits of care plans.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Experience in Elderly care is essential.
* Registered Nurse with a valid PIN.
* Knowledge of caring for older adults to support coaching and supervision.
* Professional manner and appearance.
* Ability to coordinate and motivate a team.
* Ability to prioritise and handle emergencies effectively.
