🏭 Machine Operator needed, Derby. 🧑🏭\n\nPay: £15.00-£16.50 per hour\n\nJob description:\nWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in operating various machinery within a manufacturing environment.
This role is essential in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products while adhering to safety standards and operational protocols.\n\nDuties\n- Operate and monitor machinery, including mills and tooling equipment, to ensure optimal performance.\n- Assemble components and perform welding tasks as required for product fabrication.\n- Utilise hand tools effectively to complete assembly and maintenance tasks.\n- Conduct regular inspections of machinery to identify any issues or maintenance needs.\n- Collaborate with team members to streamline production processes and improve efficiency.\n- Maintain accurate records of production output and equipment performance.\n- Troubleshoot basic issues with logic controllers and other automated systems.\n- Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations necessary for production tasks.\n- Ensure the work area is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.\n\nRequirements:\n- Ideally someone who has done MDF foiling before\n- Needs to have used machinery in a factory before\n- Understands one-piece flow, lean manufacturing principles\n- Can manage workload and stock\n- Happy to help out in the team where needed to get the jobs done\n\nMachine is a foil press for MDF, this is used to make the doors and drawer fronts for our units.
