In this role, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the Global Real Estate Strategy, transaction services, and related metrics/reporting for the company’s global real estate portfolio of leased and owned properties. Reporting to the Global Real Estate Director, you will collaborate with other SMEs across the company on real estate portfolio optimization, transaction execution, and implementation of real estate objectives.
This role is based on a hybrid model, requiring on-site presence 3-4 days per week. Candidates should reside near Medtronic offices in Watford or London (UK), Galway (IRL), or Tolochenaz (Switzerland).
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
* Manage site selection, renewals, extensions, dispositions, purchases, and develop reports and proposals for management review
* Lead real estate analysis, broker selection, site selection, legal coordination, lease negotiations, and property transactions
* Work with Business Units to monitor critical dates on leased facilities and initiate project plans for transactions
* Develop and review proposals on real estate decisions for management
* Coordinate with business units for vacating and shutting down facilities, ensuring contractual compliance
* Coordinate with internal disciplines like Construction, Engineering, IT, Space Planning, Facility Management, Security, EHS, and Risk Management
* Supervise partners and team members, guiding, coaching, and training; hire outside experts as needed
Required Knowledge and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or related field
* Minimum of 7 years of relevant corporate or commercial real estate experience; 5 years with an advanced degree
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Experience managing real estate acquisitions and dispositions
* Expertise in leasing terms, real estate law, and legal implications
* Knowledge of market conditions, industry trends, and corporate real estate practices
* Experience overseeing service providers
