Nursery Practitioner

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner who is passionate about supporting young children. This opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to help children build confidence, happiness and essential skills that support their future learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to a full and balanced range of learning activities for children aged from 8 months upwards.
* Ensure the care, safety and wellbeing of all children, while building positive relationships with parents and external professionals.
* Plan and deliver effective and inclusive activities suitable for a range of abilities.
* Observe and monitor children’s progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
* Communicate sensitively with parents and carers, encouraging engagement in their child's development.
* Provide personal care where required and support children’s emotional and developmental needs.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* A full and relevant early years qualification such as NVQ Level 2, CCLD, NNEB, CACHE or equivalent.
* Proven experience working in an Early Years environment.
* Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
* Experience supporting children with additional needs.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 or 3.
* Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
* Experience working with outside agencies or in a similar nursery role.
* A DBS on the Update Service is an advantage. If you do not have one, we can support you in obtaining a new DBS for £49.50.
