Designing, modifying and maintaining embedded firmware across a varied product range
Diagnosing and resolving software-related faults from production builds and customer returns
Supporting product testing by ensuring firmware behaves correctly under real-world conditions
Managing software revisions, documentation and change control across your own code library
Contributing to product development projects and future technology research initiatives
Providing technical support to colleagues by owning issues through to resolution
What you’ll bring to the table as a Software Design Engineer
Previous experience within the electronics industry, including schematic interpretation and component-level fault diagnosis
Embedded C/C++ development for small PCBs using IAR compilers
Strong working knowledge of Texas Instruments MSP430 microcontrollers
Practical electronics skills including soldering and use of oscilloscopes, multimeters and signal generators
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, KiCAD, Crossworks or Code Composer Studio
