Overall Job Purpose Are you an established ESG Consultant ready for your next challenge and wanting to make a difference? RSM is seeing significant demand for its ESG consultancy services from across a wide range of the market. The firm has already invested significantly in its ESG consultancy team and we are now seeking to further enhance the team. As part of our drive to become the first-choice supplier to the middle market, RSM wants to deepen our ESG services to meet demand and to fulfil larger projects in this space. This Senior Consultant role will play a key role in delivering ESG consulting engagements and in addition will bring the business and commercial skills required for these projects to be successful. The opportunity to contribute both to winning work and service development will also be part of the role. Working as part of a diverse team and closely with clients, it’s critical that you can establish trust and credibility and can quickly build effective relationships. You’ll need to be an active listener and proactive in taking action. You will already have been involved in ESG projects that have delivered value to the organisations you’ve worked with and have a good grounding in the approaches and methodology behind them. If you haven’t yet focused on a specific industry or sector, you will at very least have a good understanding of current business and economic issues and trends. As a Senior Consultant, your focus will be on excellent client delivery, so you will need strong analytical skills and be an exceptional communicator, whatever the medium. You will also become involved in business development and practice management activities. This will include networking across the firm, helping to shape targeting campaigns and meeting with prospective clients, producing case studies, and developing methodologies. Essential A strong academic record: preferably with a business-focus and ideally to post-graduate level A minimum of 3 years working as a business advisor, either in a practice or part of an in-house team Significant experience of a combination of some of the following: Sustainability Strategy, Governance, Risk Management and Performance Management ESG Strategy, Governance, Risk Management and Performance Management ESG/Sustainability supply chain risk/opportunities Financial reporting and limited assurance Management reporting/ESG improvement initiatives ESG transformation strategic planning, business case development and project management Excellent spoken and written communication, including the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely The ability to demonstrate and operate in line with RSM’s core values.
