Role Overview
Are you organised, friendly, and up for getting stuck in behind the scenes of a fun and meaningful event? Temwa is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic volunteer to support the delivery of our annual Christmas Party Fundraiser on December 6th, 2025. This is a party for our network, trustee and corporate supporters which includes a three-course meal, an auction and live music. It is a great fundraising opportunity for Temwa as we also sell raffle tickets and balloon prizes.
In the lead-up to the event, you’ll play a key role in helping to source prizes, assist with admin tasks, and support logistics. On the night, you’ll be part of the team helping the event run smoothly, from setup to pack-down.
This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in events and fundraising, meet like-minded people, and support a small but impactful charity doing incredible work in Malawi.
About Temwa
Temwa, meaning ‘love’ in the language of Tumbuka, is a Bristol-based charity committed to empowering remote African communities. Our goal is to harness the power of bringing communities together. We partner with hard-to-reach communities in Malawi, empowering local people to end poverty and transform their own futures. At the same time, we inspire local communities in the UK to come together to help bring about this change. We have been working in Northern Malawi for over 20 years, and our work currently includes sustainable agriculture, forestry, health and education programmes.
