Overview
As a Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist you will be responsible for supporting your manager in ensuring that our service users' speech, language and communication needs are met through the delivery of high‑quality person‑centred care. You will be provided with robust supervision and personal development opportunities in your clinical specialism.
Responsibilities
* Maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying out specialist assessment/intervention for children with speech, language, communication disorders, and manage own caseload independently.
* Develop and provide enhanced knowledge and skills in evidence‑based practice in own clinical specialism, and provide specialist advice and training to other professionals and carers.
* Ensure compliance with the clinical governance framework and demonstrate knowledge of, and adherence to, professional, national and local clinical guidelines, policies and procedures.
* Maintain registration with RCSLT and HCPC through continuous professional development, identify personal learning objectives through line management and performance reviews, and access clinical and safeguarding supervision in compliance with local policy.
* Champion service‑user experience and contribute to continuous improvement within the team.
