Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience working in a busy restaurant environment. The position is predominantly daytime shifts as we do not do a regular dinner service, just occasional events in the evenings.
Duties
Prepare and cook dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, such as grill, pastry, or sauté stations, managing the workflow efficiently.
Assist in the development of new menu items and improve existing recipes.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to at all times.
Monitor stock levels within your section, report shortages, and assist with inventory management.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations before, during, and after service.
Support junior kitchen staff through training and guidance as needed.
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods.
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices for hygiene.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
