 
        
        Learning Support Assistant – Supporting Pupils with ASC and Associated Needs
Location: BS13 Pay Rate: £95–£107 per day Hours: Full-time or Part-time available Start Date: October 2025
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist provision supporting pupils with autistic spectrum condition (ASC) with complex/associated needs.
Key Responsibilities:
 * Deliver one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual learning and sensory needs.
 * Assist in structured learning activities and therapeutic interventions.
 * Support pupils with communication difficulties, sensory processing challenges, and emotional regulation.
 * Help implement and monitor individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans.
 * Assist with personal care and mobility needs where required.
 * Promote independence, engagement, and inclusion in all aspects of school life.
 * Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and external professionals.
Experience Required:
 * Experience working with children or young people with autism and associated needs.
 * Familiarity with communication systems such as PECS, Makaton, or AAC.
 * Experience supporting pupils with sensory needs, challenging behaviour, or medical needs.
 * Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
 * Team Teach or other behaviour management training (desirable).

Expectations for Registration:
 * Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
 * Right to work in the UK.
 * Relevant references covering the last 2 years.
 * Completion of safeguarding and SEN training (can be provided if needed).
 * Commitment to ongoing professional development.
