We have an exciting opportunity for a Hub Maintenance Engineer to join our Rugby Hub Team.
To join us at our Hub, you will be a multi-skilled Engineer, ideally with an Electrical bias. On a day-to-day basis, you will report to our Senior Engineer who will assign PPM and project work across the shift. Some experience of fault finding across PLCs would be beneficial, in addition to your 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Come and join the Evri team!
You will be joining a team of Engineers working across a PANAMA shift pattern (2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off) across Days and Nights. The team is responsible for reactive maintenance and PPM across the Hub. The role involves limited facilities work but no toilets.
Our Hub is equipped with cutting-edge equipment and systems including:
* Beumer Sorters
* Interroll Sorter
* Carousel conveyors (EXPD, ASTEC, LAC)
* Caljan and Sovex boom Conveyors
* Lenze drives
* Profinet systems
* SICK and EXPD camera systems
Once assigned your work projects, you will decide the best approach and proactively find solutions to complex issues. You may work with external engineers on certain projects, as well as with wider optimisation groups and continuous improvement initiatives.
You do not need prior experience in a distribution centre; if you have worked as a multi-skilled engineer in FMCG, automotive, or manufacturing sites and believe you have transferable skills and the ability to learn new ones, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
* Minimize downtime on mission-critical equipment by ensuring quick response times and good working practices
* Communicate and liaise with operational management, machine minders, and others as necessary
* Assist in planning, detailing, and specifying frequencies for planned maintenance
* Liaise with and monitor external contractors on site
* Stay informed about technical developments relevant to the Hub's functions and make recommendations to the Senior Engineer or Engineering/Hub Manager
Requirements:
* A qualification in an engineering discipline (e.g., City & Guilds) or demonstrable experience and skills
* Experience and knowledge in automation are essential
* Electrical knowledge with mechanical understanding of drivers, belts, motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, compressors, dock levellers, roller shutter doors, barcode camera/scanner systems, and general maintenance equipment
* Knowledge of Siemens PLCs (hardware & software), programming units, Interbus S field networks, distributed I/O systems, computer architecture, SCADA systems, electronic field devices, and system control hierarchy
At Evri, we are committed to building an inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone can bring their whole authentic selves. We aim to better represent our customers across the UK, remove barriers, and value each individual for who they are and what they contribute.
We are Evri. Where everyone is welcome.
