Regional Financial Controller
Chatham, Kent (Hybrid)
£70,000 – £85,000 + Benefits (DOE)
We are currently partnering with a high-growth, international technology business to recruit a Regional Financial Controller based in Chatham.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional with a strong controlling background to join a dynamic, project-driven environment and play a key role in financial leadership across the region.
The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will be responsible for delivering robust financial control, reporting, and insight to support strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading budgeting and forecasting processes
* Producing monthly P&L reports and performance analysis
* Providing insight on project and operational cost performance
* Ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards and tax regulations
* Managing and supporting audit processes
* Strengthening internal controls and governance frameworks
* Driving improvements in ERP systems (particularly SAP) and financial processes
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a strong Financial Controller / Finance Business Partner with a “controlling” mindset and experience in complex, international environments.
Essential:
* 8–10+ years’ experience in Financial Control / FP&A / Controlling roles
* Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
* Proven knowledge of financial controls, compliance, and audit
* Experience with SAP and process improvements
* Background in project-based or service-led organisations
* Degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar (ACA/ACCA/CIMA desirable)
Highly desirable:
* Experience within technology, IT services, or consulting environments
* Training or experience within Top 4 audit firms (EY, KPMG, etc.)
