Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for a bright, energetic and outgoing individual to join a world leading manufacturer of cutting-edge audio electronics. SSL are looking for a new Stores Assistant with a hands-on attitude and a keen eye for detail to join our Stores and Goods In team.
This is a key position to support the factory through timely receipt of goods into stock and their disbursal throughout the factory to ensure the various production cells keep building to schedule. A positive outlook is key to providing materials support to the factory team.
The successful applicant will be well organised and confident, with the ability to prioritise their workload with a focus on good service to various internal customers. They should also possess good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate across different levels of the business. They will be computer literate with good numeracy skills.
Key responsibilities
* Safe loading and unloading of delivery vehicles
* Efficient and accurate receipt of deliveries through the MRP system
* Maintaining precise stock records and investigating discrepancies
* Accurate and efficient picking of works orders
* Lineside replenishment on the factory floor
* Providing additional materials support to the factory team
Key qualifications and experiences
* Well organised with good attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload
* Experience in following operating procedures
* Positive, hands-on attitude and willingness to learn new skills
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Computer literate, ideally with MRP experience and knowledge of MS Office applications
* Focused on providing a high standard of service to internal and external customers
* Ability to drive the company van would be beneficial
* Manual handling experience preferred
