Responsibilities
* Lead your team to prioritise and organise work, ensuring the team is fully skilled to meet objectives and delivers excellent administrative support and customer service to service users, judiciary, and management.
* Contribute to the delivery of operational, performance and service standard targets; provide statistical data for management and judiciary.
* Monitor and analyse performance areas and trends; review procedures and work practices; recommend improvements; implement new initiatives and legislation.
* Support leadership development through HMCTS leadership programmes and resources.
* Manage site-specific responsibilities, including wellbeing of the team and motivation to succeed.
Your Skills And Experience
* Ability to motivate and support your team to deliver excellent customer service and achieve effective performance.
* Experience in an administrative role in a customer-focused environment.
* IT proficient with ability to learn and adapt to different technologies and software packages.
* Excellent communication, organisational and prioritisation skills.
* A driving licence and access to a road-worthy vehicle are essential for the role.
Working Arrangements & Requirements
* Standard full-time hours: 37 per week. Flexible, part-time and job-sharing options are considered where they meet role demands (minimum 30 hours per week over 5 days).
* Hybrid working arrangements may be available; minimum 60% of working time in an office, subject to local estate capacity.
* New recruits may join at the band minimum.
* The role includes a £1,000 per annum role-specific allowance (non-pensionable; reviewable).
Location Allocation
Two posts available: 1 x Manchester County Court; 1 x St Helens County Court. The reserve list will be managed by location preferences and merit order for each location, with a 12-month validity.
Visa and Right to Work
The Government’s Skilled Worker visa rules apply. The starting salary for sponsorship may be below the general salary threshold. Proof of eligibility and right to work will be checked during vetting.
