Role Responsibilities
* Provide tailored academic and pastoral support to learners studying Animal Welfare and Veterinary Nursing.
* Monitor student progress, attendance, and wellbeing to ensure successful achievement and progression.
* Develop individual learning plans and deliver one-to-one and small group support sessions.
* Work closely with teaching staff to identify barriers to learning and implement appropriate support strategies.
* Support students in developing employability skills relevant to the animal care and veterinary sectors.
* Liaise with employers and placement providers to ensure positive industry engagement and meaningful work-based learning experiences.
* Contribute to safeguarding, welfare, and inclusive practice across the department.

Essential Requirements
* A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Animal Welfare, Animal Management, or Veterinary Nursing.
* Relevant industry experience within the animal care or veterinary sector.
* Experience supporting learners in an educational or training environment (desirable).
* A teaching or support qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
