I'm partnered with one of the UK’s most successful fintech scale-ups.
They’ve recently launched a new product line which has become the company’s highest-growth area and most strategically backed. It now has it's own dedicated leadership and roadmap.
They’re now hiring a Lead Engineer who can bring domain expertise in areas such as card products (credit or debit), payments, buy now pay later or the credit space. This is a critical hands-on leadership role and part of a small team of 3 who will be driving the overall technical direction and architecture of one of the most commercially important product areas in the business.
What you’ll be doing...
* Be the senior technical authority for one of the cross functional teams focused on credit and card systems
* Drive architectural decisions for an event-driven, serverless, high-volume, low-latency backend platform
* Mentor Lead and Senior Engineers, driving engineering excellence and fostering a high-performance culture
* Bring much-needed domain expertise in cards and credit to a high-growth area with a greenfield mindset
What they’re looking for...
* Strong backend engineering background, they use Python in production but would be open to expertise in Ruby/Java/Clojure/Go
* Experience working on card-based products — ideally credit, but debit or prepaid
* Strong architectural and system design skills
