Deputy Manager Location: Formby, Merseyside Salary: £39,500- £40,000 per annum (inclusive of sleeps) Hours: Permanent, full-time (including 1–2 sleeps per week) We are working in partnership with a provider of children’s residential services to recruit a Deputy Manager for their home in Formby, Merseyside. You will be joining a passionate and dedicated team supporting children with learning and physical disabilities within a nurturing residential setting. Key responsibilities: * Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home. * Maintain an up-to-date understanding of statutory and procedural frameworks for residential childcare, sharing knowledge with the team. * Ensure each child has an individual care plan addressing emotional, social, and cultural needs. * Oversee staffing levels, rotas, and training to meet the needs of the home. * Lead and motivate staff, addressing conduct and competency issues in line with policy. * Contribute to external audits and inspections. * Support with budget management and financial oversight. * Ensure all new staff receive a thorough induction and ongoing development.
