Primary Care Contractor Office
DENTAL PRACTICE ADVISOR (1 SESSION PER WEEK)
This is a permanent part‑time position, contributing 3.5 hours per week, based in 102 Westport, Edinburgh.
Applicants must be qualified dental practitioners with extensive experience in general dental practice and a good understanding of the regulations covering general dental services.
In this role the successful candidate will:
* Contribute to and promote the improvement of overall quality of care in NHS General Dental Practice;
* Act in a supporting and advisory capacity, including providing clinical advice, to all General Dental Practitioners;
* Advise the Primary Care Contracts Office on all matters relating to General Dental Services in close liaison with other professional staff.

Pay Details
British Dental Guild Rate 2025–26 (Scotland & UK‑wide)
* £400 per session (3.5 hours)– This is the official BDG rate, backdated to 1 April 2025.
* A session = 3.5 hours.
* Maximum payable per day = 2 sessions (£800).
* Teleconference rate = £115 per hour, capped at £400 per half‑day and £800 per day.
