We will contact you with nearby tutoring work within 45 minutes drive of the advertised location and/or within 45 minutes of the postcode you provide us.What makes this role right for you: We are working with Schools and Local Authorities in your area and are looking for Core Subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEND Tutors and Teachers like you to transform the lives of Young People with SEND and SEMH needs in your community !We are looking for SEND Tutors and Teachers with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners take control of your teaching journey with us and work flexibly, creatively, and in a trauma-informed way to make a difference in your own life and the lives of the young people we support .The benefits we offer our SEND Tutor and Teachers: Competitive pay: £28 - £35 per hourFlexible working: In person, hybrid, and work from home teaching opportunitiesFlexible hours: Flexible part-time up to full-time hours to suit your scheduleCPD and employee mentoring: TES CPD suite and professional mentor accessSEND Support Team: Support to keep a team around you and the childCommunity and Company Events: Knowledge sharing and resourcesReferral Programme: Get rewarded for successful tutor referralsA Role with Purpose: Join a child-centred company committed to reimagining the world of support for vulnerable young people for the betterSEND Tutor and Teacher role requirements: Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed waySubjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or ScienceQualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional referencesLocation: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobsSafeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environmentThe SEND Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities: Provide in person, online / remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational NeedsSupport pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoringPlan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progressWe are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
