ROLE: Grounds Maintenance Operative
HOURS: Full Time
LOCATION: North Notts Healthcare Trust Portfolio (Mobile Role – Based at High Secure Hospital Unit)

We're looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operative who will carry out all aspects of grounds maintenance to achieve the highest level of service to the client across multiple healthcare sites.
The role is based at a high secure hospital unit and includes the maintenance of further medium and low secure sites within the North Notts Healthcare Trust portfolio. This is a mobile role with a start and finish at the base site.
Role Responsibilities (4–5 points)
1. Carry out all aspects of grounds maintenance including amenity grassed areas, sports pitches, hedges, shrub and flower beds, road sweeping and litter collection.
2. Operate and maintain ride-on mowers, petrol-driven hand mowers, strimmers, blowers and hedgecutters in line with site requirements.
3. Take part in an out-of-hours on-call rota for gritting paths and roads during winter months at the base site.
4. Maintain and secure any company or client vehicles, machinery and equipment issued, ensuring they are clean and tidy and reporting any faults to the line manager.
5. Implement and demonstrate a positive health and safety culture, ensuring quality standards are met and rectified as a priority if they fall below specification.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role (3–5 points)
6. Proven experience working on a commercial site with a background in grounds maintenance or gardening.
7. Experience using grounds maintenance machinery including ride-on mowers and petrol-powered equipment.
8. Full UK Driving Licence.
9. Relevant qualifications would be beneficial, such as PA1, PA6, CS30 or CS31.
10. Ability to successfully pass a full CRB/DBS disclosure check (provided by the company).
