Role Overview:
Due to continued business growth and the success of newly secured projects, my client is looking to appoint a Senior Portfolio Manager for a Network Rail Buildings & Civils framework in the Eastern region, with a focus in the Anglia region. This senior technical authority role will oversee the delivery of major infrastructure works, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient project execution.
As the Senior Portfolio Manager, you will act as the Professional Head and technical authority for all buildings and civils works across projects on the frameworks. You will be responsible for setting and maintaining engineering strategy, leading multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the highest standards are upheld throughout all stages of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
·Lead technical strategy and governance across buildings and civils works for major projects.
·Act as Contractor's Engineering Manager (CEM) and provide leadership on compliance with Network Rail standards.
·Oversee design, construction, commissioning, and handback processes, ensuring quality and safety.
·Manage multi-disciplinary engineering coordination and ensure effective risk management.
·Interface with key stakeholders including Network Rail and suppliers, ensuring project delivery aligns with client requirements.
Requirements:
·A degree in Civil or Building Engineering (BEng/MEng) is required.
·Proven experience acting as or leading CEM and/or CRE in Buildings & Civils roles.
·Significant experience delivering Buildings & Civils projects within rail for a main contractor.
·Chartered Engineer status (CEng, MICE, MIStructE, MCIOB, or equivalent) or working towards required.
·Strong understanding of Network Rail standards and safety critical requirements.
·Experience with NEC contracts and multi-disciplinary project management.
·Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage senior stakeholders.
