Overview
Mira Trans Ltd is seeking a reliable, personable Removals Porter/Driver to join our growing team. This role suits someone who enjoys physical, hands-on work, variety in their day, and working closely with others to deliver excellent customer service.
You will assist with all aspects of residential and commercial removals, including packing and moving customer belongings, loading and unloading vehicles, and driving company vehicles. A valid driving licence is essential. The ability to drive 7.5t vehicles (Class 2 / LGV) is desirable and rewarded accordingly.
Full training is provided, making this an excellent opportunity to learn the removals industry and develop practical, transferable skills.
Duties
* Assist with the safe movement, loading, and unloading of furniture and customer belongings
* Drive company vehicles (3.5t vans; 7.5t / LGV where qualified) in line with road safety regulations
* Pack, protect, and unpack items carefully and efficiently
* Dismantle and reassemble furniture when required
* Provide friendly, professional customer service at all times
* Communicate clearly with customers and team members on site
* Carry out basic vehicle checks and report safety or maintenance issues
* Support colleagues to ensure jobs run smoothly and efficiently
Experience & Requirements
* Valid UK driving licence with a clean or near-clean record (essential)
* 7.5t / Class 2 / LGV licence (desirable, not essential)
* Previous removals, porter, or manual handling experience is advantageous but not required
* Physically fit and able to lift heavy items safely
* Good level of English for clear communication with customers and colleagues
* Reliable, punctual, and professional with a positive attitude
* Customer service experience is desirable

* Pay: £110 – £180 per day, depending on experience and skills
* Expected Hours: 8 – 48 per week
* Base Location: Newmarket, Suffolk
