An established and forward-thinking public service organisation is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join its Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, this role provides high-quality financial analysis, advice, and management information to support a range of services in delivering efficient and effective outcomes.

The key duties of this Assistant Management Accountant will be:

1. Providing a professional financial and management information service across multiple departments.
2. Supporting managers in budget setting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
3. Preparing, analysing, and interpreting financial data to support operational decision-making.
4. Delivering and participating in training to develop financial awareness among non-finance staff.
5. Representing senior finance colleagues on working groups and project teams as required.
6. Supervising Finance Assistants and Trainees, contributing to their ongoing development.
7. Promoting continuous improvement in financial management, governance, and value for money.

The successful candidate will be:

8. Actively studying towards a relevant accountancy qualification.
9. Experienced in financial management, ideally within a public or not-for-profit setting.
10. Confident in analysing complex financial data and producing clear, actionable reports.
11. Skilled in using financial systems, Excel, and data analysis tools.
12. Able to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial colleagues.
13. Organised, proactive, and motivated by continuous improvement.

Please note that this role is office based in Bradford, with opportunities to work from home on offer for up to three days per week.
