The successful candidate will manage the company's commercial contracts, including technology and outsourcing agreements, third-party supplier arrangements, and other operational contracts. This role involves supervising a team of lawyers and paralegals, working directly with business partners, and contributing to the development of the legal service offering.
Our client has established a dedicated legal team that collaborates closely with their in-house legal function. This position is ideal for experienced lawyers eager to extend their expertise within a client’s legal team, focusing on:
* Managing and supervising a team of legal professionals;

* Gaining deeper insight into the client's business and strengthening internal relationships.
The ideal candidate will have experience supervising other lawyers, with a background in general commercial contracts, media, technology/outsourcing, and intellectual property. This role provides excellent opportunities for professional growth, training, and career development.
Responsibilities
You will lead a team to deliver comprehensive commercial contract services, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, and advising on legal queries. Embracing new technological solutions, you will empower your team to take full ownership of their work.
You will collaborate with the in-house legal team and ensure high-quality, client-focused service, maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Building a close working relationship with the client;
* Delegating legal work to team members;
* Managing team capacity, quality, and availability;
* Setting and reviewing team objectives;
* Contributing to financial and operational reports;
* Managing work allocation across teams;
* Participating in client and internal meetings;
* Assisting with quoting for legal services;
* Training new team members;
* Supporting the development of precedents and playbooks;
* Driving improvement initiatives across legal, tech, and operational streams;
* Handling commercial contracts and legal queries.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience working on media contracts;
* Experience managing team workload and capacity;
* Technology awareness;
* Experience with sophisticated clients is preferred;
* Exceptional drafting and legal research skills.
