Summary As part of our strategic growth and ongoing investment in early careers talent, Caddick Civil Engineering has a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Estimator to join our team based in our Wakefield office. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a passion for construction, engineering, or quantity surveying, and who’s ready to build their career in a forward-thinking and supportive environment. You'll gain hands-on experience working closely with experienced professionals, contributing to exciting civil engineering projects across the Yorkshire and North East regions. What You’ll Do As a Graduate Estimator, you’ll work alongside our experienced Estimating team and receive mentoring from our Lead Estimator. You’ll contribute to preparing accurate and competitive project costings, supporting the team across a range of pre-construction activities. Responsibilities include: Assisting with quantities measurement and take-offs from drawings and specifications Supporting in the preparation of cost estimates and pricing documents Helping assess project risks and cost drivers Assisting with preparing subcontractor and supplier enquiries Attending internal tender meetings and supporting handovers to site delivery teams Collaborating across teams, including Construction and Buying Developing skills in estimating software and industry best practice Required skills What We’re Looking For This opportunity is suited to individuals who are motivated to develop a long-term career in estimating within civil engineering. You’ll need to demonstrate: A degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field Strong numerical and analytical skills Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn Ability to read and interpret technical information (training provided) Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Why Join Caddick Group?
