Job summary: The Second Chef role in a Care Home with Barchester Healthcare involves assisting the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome and well-balanced menus while working with residents to tailor menus to their preferences. Qualifications
* The successful candidate should hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification, have a good understanding of nutrition and HACCP, and have experience working with fresh seasonal food.
* A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in resident wellbeing; ability to engage with residents to create appetising and nutritious menus; confidence in delivering high-quality meals; and the ability to create a welcoming environment.
