We’re looking to offer a salary of £80,000 - £90,000 depending on experience, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Manage all corporate income tax (CIT) matters for UK & Ireland, including US GAAP and local statutory tax accounting and reporting
* Oversee CIT compliance, working with external service providers under co-sourcing arrangements
* Handle cash tax payments, forecasting, and R&D credits, as well as Capital Allowances and Plastic Packaging Tax
* Support transfer pricing, manage tax audits, and secure tax advice for strategic decisions
* Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to implement tax structuring opportunities
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* ACA or CTA (or equivalent) qualified, with strong CIT and VAT knowledge
* Extensive tax experience in a Big-4 and/or in-house environment, ideally within a US multinational
* Expertise in US GAAP/IFRS tax accounting, including ASC 740/IAS 12, and familiarity with SOX requirements
* Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
* Skilled in ERP systems (Oracle/SAP/HFM) and open to occasional travel within the UK and Europe.
