The Quality and Curriculum Lead plays a central role in driving quality improvement across the Riverside Nursery Schools Group, with a particular focus on the toddler and pre‑school rooms. Working two and a half days per week, the post holder combines hands‑on curriculum development and room‑level quality work with the creation of high‑quality training content for staff and parents.
Qualification
* Relevant early years qualification at Level 3 or above (Level 6 or equivalent preferred).
* Substantial experience working in early years settings with toddler and pre‑school aged children.
* Strong knowledge of the EYFS Statutory Framework, including all seven areas of learning and the Characteristics of Effective Teaching and Learning.
* Demonstrable experience of curriculum design and quality improvement.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Experience of designing and delivering staff training.
* Sound understanding of safeguarding legislation and practice in an early years context.
* Current Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
* Paediatric First Aid certificate (or willingness to complete training).

Duties
* Quality Improvement and Curriculum Design (2 days) – leading on pedagogical practice, curriculum development across all seven areas of the EYFS, and the establishment of effective daily routines within toddler and pre‑school rooms.
* Training, Compliance and Communications (half day) – designing and delivering staff and parent‑facing training, producing video content on key developmental milestones, and supporting safeguarding and compliance priorities.
