What You'll Be Doing (Don't worry — we'll train you!)
You'll rotate across a wide range of microbiology activities, gaining hands‐on experience with industry‐standard techniques and equipment. Your training will include:
Enumeration of microbial growth from environmental monitoring plates
Microbial identification via Gram stain, spore stain & Vitek
Sampling of process water + TVC, TOC and pH testing
Downloading and assessing particle count data
Performing "at rest" environmental monitoring
Gowning qualification & monitoring of cleanroom operators
Growth promotion testing of media
Routine checks on incubators, fridges, freezers & equipment
Reporting OOS / atypical results
Carrying out cleanroom cleaning and disinfectant testing
Bioburden validation
Endotoxin testing using kinetic turbidometric method
Sterility testing & validation using membrane filtration (Steritest)
You'll support all sample types across the facility — API, excipients, in‐process, finished product, stability samples and water. No two days will feel the same!
About You
This role is ideal if you're:
* Recently degree‐educated in Microbiology, Biology, Biomedical Science, or a related field
* Excited to start your first role in industry
* Comfortable working with lab equipment (any prior experience is a plus!)
* Keen to learn microbiological techniques and grow quickly
* Organised, adaptable, and ready to work in a high‐throughput environment
* Interested in GMP, quality, and supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing
Bonus points if you already understand GMP, ICH, COSHH or have microbiology lab experience — but don't worry, full training is provided!
